We love our Revelation Within Life!
Heidi and Christina renew their minds sometimes by thinking God's thoughts about how eating less, waiting for hunger and stopping at "just enough," feels really really good! Why is this just SO good?

Hi and welcome to our podcast Revelation Within on the Go. I'm Heidi Bilesma-Epperson, one of your hosts and the owner and lead coach of the revelationwithincom ministry Fantastic.
Speaker 2:And I am Christina Motley, your other host, also a revelation within Coach and Heidi's partner in all things. Revelation Within and we are so, so happy to welcome you to this episode of our podcast Revelation Within on the Go. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
Speaker 1:We're going to share with you some of our favorite mind and all strategies that are so uplifting and so encouraging and so life-giving. We may not get through more than one, but because we're going to be so busy being given life and enjoying it Right. We're going to start off with what we're calling what I love about my new or not so new revelation within life yes, I love this tool.
Speaker 2:I love this tool. It is so encouraging and it just it spurs me on. I feel like I I leave this tool with lots and lots of hope after I've done it.
Speaker 1:So yeah, let's invite God in and let's go, Okay.
Speaker 2:Alrighty. Lord Jesus, thank you so much for what you give us. Thank you for your blessings and your goodness. Thank you, god, that you are at work in our hearts. We want to invite you into this time. Will you give us ideas, help us to be encouraged, and we pray that you would be blessed as well. In Jesus name.
Speaker 1:Amen.
Speaker 2:Amen. What do you love about your revelation?
Speaker 1:within life. One of the things I love about my revelation within life is I can enjoy dinners out. I can have any thing I want to eat, I can be at peace with any selection and the just right size portion, and it's so peaceful and enjoyable and I love it so much.
Speaker 2:Oh, I love that. I love that. What do I love about my revelation within life? I love that my thoughts are not centered on self-condemnation anymore. I mean, they come in sometimes, they definitely do, but on the whole, I am not condemning myself like I used to all the time, and I love that. I love that change. What a huge change in my thought life.
Speaker 1:I love that and I'm going to build on that because me too, me too, I love that too. But I love that revelation within gives me something that I can do with my mess ups other than condemning myself, that now I have a tool for learning and encouragement. It's a redemption of my failure that look and learn. And I love what somebody suggested yesterday in one of our coaching classes look, listen and learn. Because I can look all I want, but if I haven't listened to what God says, I want to know what he wants me to think about. The slip, stumble, fall or failure that I used to condemn myself about. He wants to teach me through.
Speaker 2:I love that. I love that. I love that too. I just love that.
Speaker 1:Well, I'm going to kind of give you back up. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on Hold on hey Wanda girl Hi.
Speaker 2:I'm doing.
Speaker 1:Oh well, no, it's me. Christina and I are recording a podcast and I saw that it was you and I was hoping that you hadn't landed in the hospital needing prayer or something. Oh my gosh, wanda's calling me.
Speaker 2:No, I've got a pallor. I've had it on every day since I've gotten it.
Speaker 1:What will we say?
Speaker 2:I don't remember Was it you or me or I don't remember.
Speaker 1:Well, it doesn't really matter. How about? I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 2:Just do the next one, or yeah, just do the next one.
Speaker 1:Go for it, okay, I well, I think I had just said that I love God's redemption of my mess ups. Yeah, okay, that's sort of oh that's right.
Speaker 2:I'm just going to piggyback on that. So I'm going to piggyback off of that one, heidi, because one of the things that I love about my revelation within life is that I can do something with my failure. It's not just going to sit there. It wasn't wasted time. I am actually learning and growing. I'm changing. I'm a work in progress. I love that. I absolutely love that. It's wonderful, wonderful.
Speaker 1:I love my revelation within life because it's redefined failure for me in every aspect of life. Yes, I don't see it the same, I kid you not. It has invaded every aspect of life. I love, love, love that I do too.
Speaker 2:Something else that I love about my revelation within life is that I am listening to the signals of my body. Yes, what I love that. When I'm cold I put a sweater on. When I need rest, I lay down and when my body says, you know what? I need some fuel, I fuel it up and then, when it says that's enough, that's just enough, I stop. I love the freedom of that. I love the variety, I love being able to just listen to my body. It is amazing to me.
Speaker 1:I love it. Another thing I love about my revelation within life is it's so much simpler than all the lives that came before. I mean really, I don't. I'm at peace with food and eating. I don't have to weigh or measure, obsess about the labels and what the macro contents are on it. I just don't. It's like a non-issue. I love that.
Speaker 2:I love that. I love that. I love that. One of my favorite things about my revelation within life is that I am in a relationship with a Lord that is deepening and increasing in intimacy. There's no end to it. It will go on and on. I love that. It is challenging at times, no doubt. I love that. That is probably the biggest part of my journey is my relationship with the Lord, and that is so, so sweet. I love it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I love that too. I love my revelation within life, because it does remind me again and again how dependent I am on the Lord and how His strength is made perfect in my weakness. And so it's fostered this beautiful intimacy between the Lord and me. And I can really tell when I'm off kilter with Him, because things change and I eat differently and I think differently, and it's like a red flag goes up.
Speaker 2:It's like oh okay, so let's look at how what I'm doing in my relationship with God Another very very important thing that I love about my revelation within life is that I am not steeped in shame anymore. I am not walking through each and every day secretly feeling so much shame. I mentioned self condemnation, but shame, shame, shame. Oh, I'm so thankful that I'm not carrying the weight of that anymore.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that makes me think of another thing I love about the revelation within life, and that is that I have escaped from that guilt, shame, condemnation, false comfort, guilt, shame, false comfort cycle that kept me turning to the same way of handling my guilt and shame that was producing more guilt and shame. I am free of that. I can actually step out of that because of what I have learned through revelation within and renewing my mind and speaking my story to others. It's just such a blessing.
Speaker 2:It is, it is. I love that. Another thing that I love about my revelation within journey is that I have stepped out in the light, like what you just said. I am no longer lurking around secretly, feeling shame and hiding. I am out in the light and it's the Lord's compassionate, loving, forgiving, redemptive light, and I love living in that. Oh, my goodness, that is wonderful.
Speaker 1:Another thing I love about my revelation within life is that I have been taught to look deeper than just the surface, not just at what I'm pursuing, but at why I struggle the way I do. There are reasons, and God has answers, and I love that. I'm not just crazy, no, and he provides answers, and where he doesn't provide answers, he provides his comfort. So that's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Speaker 2:It is Okay. Here's another one for me that I love about my revelation within life is that I get to be a joyful eater. I get to enjoy all kinds of flavors and textures, colors, a whole variety of food out there. I get to try new things. I get to say that's not my favorite, but I really like this. I get to enjoy food as fuel, but also as God's gift of abundance to me. I love that. I love that?
Speaker 1:Oh, I do too. That's wonderful. Another thing I love about my revelation within life is nighttimes are no longer that place where secret strongholds exist and grab me by the throat. So I've been able to break free from night time overeating and escape that stronghold. And any time I find myself struggling again, I know what to do. I know how to renew my mind about it. I know to run to the Lord. It has provided the way of escape.
Speaker 2:Wow, that's a big one. I love that. What else do I love about my revelation within life? I love that I get to invite God into my struggles with food and eating and body image, All those years of being a Christian and I did not invite him in. Why not? If there's no shame, if there's no condemnation in Christ, then why not? And I love inviting him in to all of the aspects of this. It is so freeing and again builds my relationship with him. That's why we call it spirit led eating as well. So I love that so much.
Speaker 1:Me too. Another thing I love about my revelation within life is the amazing people I get to be in relationship with. I have some of the bestest friends that came through getting to know them via revelation within Christina and Jeff Treesey and so many others. The people who are in our community at RevWithinteam are amazing women. They are amazing and I know there's a couple of men in there too, we welcome, men. But also in our coaching groups. Oh, my goodness, the ladies that we've gotten the privilege of walking with through our coaching material. They're just. They love the Lord so much. Every hour we spend with them. Christina, I just feel like God is giving me another glimpse of his beauty and his glory. It's just awesome.
Speaker 2:Oh, I would totally, totally agree. I absolutely love the people that we work with and I love their hearts for the Lord, and you know what I learn from them so much? Every day I am learning from them and from what is shared. We're all learning from each other, and that is a beautiful, beautiful thing. I love that about my revelation within life.
Speaker 1:Another thing I love about my revelation within life is I am free from so many of the fears that plagued me for decades, one of which is I'm not afraid of what I eat. I'm not afraid of what I don't eat, I'm not afraid of over-exercising or under-exercising or what happens if this happens. I have learned how to be free of so many of the fears that used to plague me.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's a big one. So so good, Heidi, Something that you said helped me with the next one. So I love about my revelation within life that I can enjoy joyful movement, gentle movement, just right activity, exercise movement, whatever we want to call it. I don't have to constantly feel that pressure of trying to work off my overeating. That was a horrible cycle that I was in for decades. Now I can enjoy just right movement for what my body needs at any given time and Just enjoy, Enjoy the body that God has given me. No matter what I can or cannot do on that day, it's really okay and I can be at peace with that. I love that.
Speaker 1:And another thing I love about my revelation within life is the value of forgiveness. I've seen that in my revelation within life, but I've also seen it apply across the board as I bring to God the things I struggle with that I need to be forgiven for, as I bring to him the people who I have felt wounded by, and as I go to God and ask him what do I need to be forgiven by others for and go to those people. In some instances I see that there is a freedom, not just with food eating in my body, but in every respect in my life.
Speaker 2:but I wouldn't have learned this had it not been for revelation within anything else that I love about my revelation within life and I am very much a work in progress always is that I am learning how to surrender to the Lord and an area that is really hard for me and that has been amazing. I am a work in progress, but I am learning what true surrender means and that has been an incredible experience for me.
Speaker 1:And what I love about my revelation within life is that I am learning to accept my body as a beautiful body entrusted by God, no matter what size or shape it is at any given moment, and what size does seem to change quite a lot, and he has been showing me through many means, but definitely through the revelation within process, that it's beautiful as it is and what it's becoming, and I don't even know what that is, but I am so grateful that I am set free from obsession with my size. There is a freedom there that I never dreamed I would have and I'm grateful. I am so grateful for that. It is wonderful, it is I don't get it really, but I long for that for others, that freedom from what do I look like? What do I look like? What do I look like it's? If it's about my health, it's not what I look like.
Speaker 2:And one of my favorite things about my revelation within life is that I am spending more time, more of my time each day praising the Lord and in gratitude that I ever have in my whole life yeah, absolutely love that that it has just changed my whole mindset and I absolutely love that.
Speaker 1:And one of the things I love about my revelation within life is getting to work with such an amazing woman as Christina and seeing her poor herself into the lives of so many others. It's so cool to get to have been a part of providing a forum for that to happen. I love that, I love, love, love that. Yay, aw, thank you, I did it.
Speaker 2:You have been my coach, my biggest fan, my supporter, my encourager, this whole way. Oh my gosh, I don't know what I would do without you, heidi. I am so, so grateful so grateful.
